A recipe for making delicious sweet Malpua, made from wheat flour and jaggery. Let’s know how can it be made more delicious?

Ingredients for Malpua Recipe

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 200ml water
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • 100 g jaggery 50 g oil (for frying the malpuas)

Easy Malpua Recipe

Step 1

First of all take a bowl. Put 100 grams jaggery in 200ml (as required) water. Stir with a spoon until the jaggery dissolves completely in the water. You can also use sugar instead of jaggery.

Step 2

When the jaggery is completely dissolved add about 1 cup of wheat flour to it and make a medium thick batter. Add black pepper and fennel to make it tastier. It will increase both its fragrance and taste.

Step 3

Then take a pan and heat it. You can use nonstick or plain pan. Then apply oil on the pan and spread the wheat flour batter we have made evenly. Note that the batter should not be too thick, otherwise the Malpua may remain raw.

After one side is cooked, turn it to the other side and fry it with a teaspoon of oil. Let it cook until the color of the malpua turns golden brown. Let it rise evenly from both sides.

Malpua takes a little longer to roast than usual. Approximately this material will make 3 to 4 Malpuas for two people. Garnish with a sprig of dryfoot on top.
