Imaging its raining, very romantic songs are playing in background. It will be fun if someone puts a plat of onion fritters in front of you with tea. So, lets learn to make onion fritters and green coriander-chili chutney yourself.
Ingredients
- 4 medium sized onions
- 6-7 green chillies (optional)
- 1 tbsp whole dry coriander
- Half a teaspoon caraway seeds
- Half a teaspoon of black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon of yogurt
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- Half a teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon red chili
- Salt to taste
How to make Onion Fritters –
Step 1
Cut the onion in half and cut it into 2 parts. Slice the portion into small pieces. Then knead it with your hands and loosen it. Then add salt to the onion and keep it till the water comes out.
Step 2
After the onion releases water, slowly add chickpea flour to it. Add whole dry coriander, green chillies, caraway seeds, black pepper powder to it.
Step 3
Add curd to it and make a batter. Reduce the use of water as much as possible and take care not to loosen the batter. Add salt to taste. Add half teaspoon of baking soda and mix the batter evenly.
Step 4
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the batter little by little in the oil while it is medium hot. Fry it until it becomes golden brown. Then you can serve it with hot tea or ketchup or green chutney.
How to make green chutney
1 cup green coriander, 2-3 green chillies, half inch ginger slices, half lemon, salt and cumin, sugar, turmeric. Grind them all in a mixer and your green chutney is ready.
